Rooms are large with two double beds, a sitting area and the full range of facilities.Each has a balcony offering marvelous views of the mountains one one side and the San José skyline on the other.

Each of the eighty one rooms has twin double beds, tub or shower, and a separate seating area. There are also four Junior suites and two rooms for the disabled. The furniture is especially made of Costa Rican hardwoods, and all rooms have cable T.V. and direct dial telephones.

Hotel Bougainvillea has the charm of a family owned and operated hotel. Every detail of the hotel and restaurant is personally supervised by owner Hans van der Wielen, who brought his experience and style when he came to Costa Rica in 1961.
