Gardens at Bougainvillea


Heliconias, air plants, birds of paradise, bromelias and shrimp plants are among exotic species adorning the grounds of Hotel Bougainvillea where, in absense of any sense of urgency, you can enjoy an old fashioned gentle stroll and take the time you promised to stop and smell the flowers. A secluded pool setting, sauna, tennis courts and jogging trail provide ample opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of the area.

Naturally, the beauty of the garden finds its way indoors with fresh cut flowers placed everywhere throughout the hotel, but most notably in the gourmet restaurant which has an established reputation for international cuisine. Massive wooden beam ceilings, wood paneling and fireplace give the bar the intimate atmosphere of a countryhouse hotel. Paintings and sculptures by leading local artists feature throughout the property and butterfly exhibits prompt conversation and a closer look.
